A LIST OF USEFUL LINKS
All the links now open in a new window!
I must recommend the Bearded Dragon Mailing List. A host of friendly, knowledgeable and helpful
people dispensing advice, support and occasional idiocy! This site's members will go over all your husbandry set ups and help you get it perfect for your new dragon.
Two sites with edible food plants for your dragon and some photos!
Edible Greens with Photos
NEW!! This link will take you to the Bearded Dragon/Reptile Chat Room run by Ronnie Buck and has live online help. It's usually staffed with live help and running around 8.00 PM EST most nights - a great resource!.
Live Reptile Chat
This is a site for Dr. Zenker; one of my local veterinarians, he seems to
really know his stuff and also, his links pages are really good - give it try!
Melissa Kaplan's Website : Melissa's Website is EXTRAORDINARY! Check it out
I like this one by Jennifer Swofford- it has an alternative Iguana Diet to Melissa Kaplan's, based on mostly greens, which my BD's will actually eat. Both diets are sound, but I believe in presenting proven alternatives:-
Caring for an Australian Bearded Dragon by Kathryn W. Tosney : EXCELLENT : This is a very
good site written for the 'common man' which is why I like it!
Melissa Kaplan's lists of vets specializing in herps : ESSENTIAL TO KNOW!
Herp Vet Connection: This is a new resource for locating vets- they are only included if they have been recommended by reptile people, so it's a good one to try :
'Rubbish Tip' information by Raymond Hoser : this is a VERY INTERESTING AUSTRALIAN
SITE that points out that Bearded Dragons don't just tend to live in the desert as we know it
A site about BD's natural environment 'The Bearded Dragons of Australia'
Being as I live in Canada, here are some Canadian Links from Tricia Power

This address will give you the sunrise and sunset for a whole year any place in Australia- useful
for fanatical timeclock setters!
And this one does the same thing for the United States - saves you working out all the Aussie
ones bassackwards for this hemisphere!

Incidentally, do yourself a favour and visit Ronnie's main site as well; you'll find plenty of great BD information there -

This is a brand new programme called MSA Herp by Scott Kane at MicroNexus Software Australia
that allows you to keep records of your herps.
Whether you're a private owner, a professional breeder or a zoo, I think this
is a very worthwhile utility to have (and it's a good price too!). Simply go to the website and follow the instructions.......
